College Sports Are Back! High Point University Athletes and Staff are Preparing for busy Winter and Spring Seasons By Danny Shay Q News When the sports world went dark in March due to the outbreak of COVID-19, athletes didn’t know when they would be able to play again. With the pros suiting back up this summer in most of the major sports, it was still a big question as to whether or not college sports would start-up in the fall. Most major conferences went on with fall sports but here at HPU, the Big South Conference postponed most fall sports to the spring season. Given that the fall sports are moved to the spring, it seems like there will be a game every day to watch. This postponement has given the athletic department here at High Point University some time to relax and figure out a gameplan before it gets crazy.
